Bezek • Durst • Seiser brings a thoughtful,
sensitive approach to the design of spiritual gathering places,
recognizing that these buildings bring people together to
celebrate many facets of life’s journey, and through
these activities, help to build stronger communities.
Creating a Place of Worship
We start the process by identifying a core project team that
includes members of the church, the architect / engineer,
and the contractor. Together we look carefully at the available
funding as well as the functional and spiritual goals of
the new building.
Through a process focused on consensus building, the team
agrees on a comprehensive project plan and budget that outlines
details and costs related to construction, furnishings, and
soft costs.
The design phase begins next. Models, plans, and perspective
renderings are developed to convey the symbolic and spiritual
feel of the building, as well as define the functional areas.
Future growth is explored in a Master Plan, ensuring the logic
and serenity of the facility is maintained as it expands.
Attention to Details
Spiritual buildings require careful attention to details
such as good acoustics, unrestricted sight lines, quiet ventilation,
and comfortable surrounds. BDS brings its depth of experience
to the table to ensure each design element meets or exceeds
expectations.
This attention to detail extends into the construction phase,
all the way through to completion, resulting in a special community
place for gathering and worship.
