Kenai Courthouse

BDS provided space planning, building and site design services, and casework design for the Alaska Court System for this 12,000SF addition to the Kenai Courthouse.
The project included 3 new courtrooms, 4 new judge’s chambers, 3 jury rooms, court and judicial services support space, security screening lobby, segregated prisoner circulation and holding, and renovations to the existing building to improve court system functions and upgrade building control and fire alarm systems.
Site work included a new entrance drop-off, additional parking, and ADA accessibility upgrades. Project construction documents were developed to facilitate continuous use of the existing court facilities during construction.
